NHBC Awards Scotland

Stephen heads a winning team – again!

Previously having won the ultimate accolade of a Seal of Excellence in 2006, senior Site Manager Stephen Sandilands has now won a second Pride in the Job award – this time for his work at Taylor Wimpey West’s Imperial View development in Airdrie.

In Stephen’s experience “A well-managed site which looks good, quality workmanship and good health and safety practices” are all the hallmarks of an NHBC winner.

In addition, he commends the efforts of his team. “I have a fantastic team, they have all worked really hard without exception and have been a great help to me. They are all pleased – even though they don’t get the same kudos as me” he said, adding “We felt that we narrowly missed out last year so we really got our heads down and worked – and now we’ve done it.” Stephen has retained the same site team for the last two years – including two of his family members!

This site was previously occupied by a steelworks, so we have brought a splash of colour which has improved the area. The development has proved extremely popular with local people” said Stephen.
