Phase Three of Wellington Park housing development is currently underway in Northern Ireland.

Although the site is still under construction the third phase of Wellington Park is already proving very successful with site manager Jason Moore of QTH Ltd receiving an NHBC Pride in the Job Award.

QTH Ltd Site Manager, Jason Moore, said:

“We really appreciate this recognition by NHBC for Wellington Park Phase Three. A lot of hard work is going into how we operate the site and an award like this perfectly demonstrates all of our effort in constructing a high-quality housing development in Northern Ireland.

“Having the correct work force behind me is also important and my team are the ones that help me ensure the high levels of quality on a project such as this are maintained. For me this is what the NHBC Pride in the Job award really represents.”

Wellington Park is a brand new housing development currently under construction in Lisburn. The development first got underway in 2009 and is currently on its third phase of construction.

Wellington Park Phase One comprised the construction of 15 houses and was followed in 2010 by Phase Two. Once the second phase was complete Phase Three got underway and is currently on programme with a completion date scheduled for summer 2013.

There are seven different house types on offer at Wellington Park, ranging from small detached two-bedroom houses to large six-bedroom properties. The units are being built from traditional methods of brick and block, with a stone clad finish, UPVC windows and composite doors.

All of the units on Wellington Park feature high-spec fixtures and fittings, with intricate design details on many of the finishes, including detailed lead work on all of the windows. Each unit also includes front and back gardens complete with plants, shrubs and associated paved areas.

A central roundabout is also located on the site which not only connects up all the different phases on the development it also incorporates a beautiful flower bed which provides the development with a very decorative feature.

Property development company QTH Ltd is the main contractor on Wellington Park, whilst Patterson DESIGN is the architect.

Jason Moore, said:

“With Wellington Park we are trying to create a housing development that is very different to what is being built on other sites. Each phase comprises approximately 20 – 25 houses and we are completing them approximately on a yearly basis.

“Phase Three is located towards the rear of the development and this is very beneficial for reducing any noise and site disruption to residents already living on Wellington Park. Once people move into the development we always want to ensure that they don’t feel as if they are living on a construction site and so all work is completed with this in mind.

“Currently all of our work on Wellington Park Phase Three is on programme and on budget.”
