Launching this July, Field’s Bar & Kitchen is a stunning new restaurant and cafe in the heritage gardens of Lincoln’s Inn Fields near Holborn.
Accommodating up to 84 diners inside and 72 on the outdoor terrace, the location and menu provide the perfect pairing for guests to kick back and relax.
A series of menus will be offered to diners, starting with breakfast classics such as ‘Maple & almond granola, with Greek Yogurt’ or ‘Pancetta & potato hash with fried duck egg’. The main restaurant menu will include a range of flat breads and pizzas all baked onsite in a wood fired oven as well as a selection of other main dishes such as ‘Open Steak Sandwich on toasted sourdough’ or ‘Pan- fried sea bass fillet & wood-fired yellow courgettes.’
For those wanting something a little lighter there is an assortment of crunchy salads on offer, from the ‘Italian bean salad with Borlotti & cannellini beans, Swiss chard, and tenderstem broccoli’ or ‘Insalata Greca with watermelon, black olives, feta & citrus’.
Both menus offer hot and cold drinks, ideal for those wishing for quick refreshment, or enjoying a lazy afternoon in the sunshine drinking crisp chilled wine with friends. In keeping with their celebration of British produce, guests can enjoy freshly made drinks such as ‘Fentimans Botanically brewed dandelion & burdock’ or ‘Apple & orange’ of ‘ Victorian lemonade’ and hot drinks with a long list of freshly ground sustainably sourced coffees.
‘Grab and go’ selections comprise salads, baguettes, bloomers and wraps, freshly made cakes and desserts will also be on offer.
Path Design spearheaded the rustic design of Field’s Bar & Kitchen, using panelled wood walls and beams, exposed brickwork and a wood fired oven to create an earthy vibe. A glass roof above the restaurant also allowed for plenty of natural light and the displays of fresh fruit and veg brings a touch of colour to the venue.
Further wood panelling is used to flank the exterior of the restaurant, offering accommodation to diners outside who are able to enjoy the easy going environment that the park offers.
Field’s Bar & Kitchen is the newest addition to the award winning Benugo group, founded by Ben Warner and operated by Guy Kellner. The Benugo brand now stretches from high street stores to concessions within some of the world’s largest and most respected museums, public spaces and historic buildings.
The opening of Field’s Bar & Kitchen follows the success of Hyde Park’s Serpentine Bar & Kitchen, The Riverfront at BFI Southbank, and Ashmolean Dining Room in Oxford, all of which offer expansive outside dining.
A spokesperson said, “Benugo’s newest opening, Field’s Bar & Kitchen will celebrate the unique and iconic green space much loved by residents, local workers and museum visitors alike, with a range of diverse and exciting food, executed with passion and pace.”
The venue will operate seasonally with changing opening hours depending on the time of year, for more information please visit www.benugo.com.
