Dear readers,

Welcome to the final edition of Premier Hospitality for 2013.

In this month’s issue we take a visit to Rochdale’s new-look pub, The Healey; we take a peek at Sixtyone in London; and we reveal an exciting new partnership between Harry Ramsden’s and Welcome Break.

The Healey is a traditional public house situated in the suburbs of Rochdale, close to Healey Dell nature reserve. In September 2013 The Healey closed its doors in order to undertake a complete refurbishment, which was implemented to retain the character of the pub, whilst at the same time modernise it for future use. Following the magnificent makeover, which has seen the pub reworked and extended into the cottage next door, The Healey re-opened just in time for the busy festive period, complete with new facilities and a new look.

Meanwhile, located at 61 Upper Berkeley Street, Sixtyone is a brand new restaurant from chef and patron, Arnaud Stevens, and leading catering company Searcys. The new restaurant opened on 11th November 2013 to excellent feedback and serves up a modern British menu that is sure to tickle the taste buds of anyone looking for expertly produced cuisine.

And finally, two of the country’s most recognised brands, Harry Ramsden’s and Welcome Break, have come together in an exciting partnership which is sure to delight the country’s motorway users.

Wednesday 11th December hailed the return of Harry Ramsden’s to the country’s motorway network with an opening at Welcome Break Woodall, located on the M1 near Sheffield, between junctions 30 and 31. A second Harry Ramsden’s restaurant will also open at Welcome Break’s Oxford Services, at Junction 8a on the M40, early in 2014.

The opening of the two outlets will create up to 20 new full and part time jobs. Both restaurants will open at 6am daily, offering the hugely popular Welcome Break Full English breakfast. From 11.30am until 8pm, the millions of hungry commuters and leisure travellers who use the popular motorway service stations can choose from an extensive menu, which will, of course, include Harry Ramsden’s world famous fish and chips.

Now, with all that and more it’s time to sit back and devour December’s Premier Hospitality.

Enjoy!

Alex
