Retrofit Summit’s programme revealed

 Retrofit Summit

Retrofit Summit’s one day policy conference will take place on the 5th December at the Business Design Centre in London.

David Strong from the Energy Efficiency Partnership for Buildings will open the one day policy conference with a debate on the future for ECO.

Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osbourne, is reported to be planning a cut of £75 off green taxes from household energy bills in his autumn statement on December 4th. In light of these plans the Retrofit Summit will be the first opportunity for the industry to discuss this shift in policy and how it will impact the retrofit market.

The afternoon looks at the challenge of making retrofit work at scale- from technical and access issues, through to finance, skills and the need for collaboration. This session, chaired by Terry McGivern from the Institute for Sustainability, will discuss what has already been done to tackle these issues.

The conference will conclude with a retrofit question time where a panel of policy and industry experts will take questions from delegates on hot retrofit topics of the day.

The Retrofit Summit will be co-located within Retro Expo – an exhibition of retrofit innovation featuring approximately 70 exhibitors including leading names such as BASF, Kingspan, ABBE and SIG360 Retrofit. Entry to the exhibition is free. Tickets for the Retrofit Summit cost £195 per person + VAT.
