A win for Inge

 A win for Inga

Inge Moore, whose name is associated with some of the most inspired hotel, restaurant and spa design of recent years, has been named the Gold Key Designer of the Year.

As Principal of The Gallery HBA London, Inge has been the guiding spirit of the studio, forging an inimitable style of work and team culture that has seen the studio complete a swathe of award-winning projects in just the last few months.

“Receiving the Gold Key Designer of the Year Award and following in the footsteps of so many great designers from around the world, is really wonderful,” said Inge.

“It is testimony to my fabulous team, the great clients we have worked with and the continuing love I have for what I do. Nothing is better in my working life than those quiet times when I am just designing.”

South African born Inge came to the UK in 2001 to join what was then the London satellite office of the US-based hospitality design company, HBA. Her work since has been transformational, creating a studio renowned not only for its distinctive hospitality design but also for luxury residential projects.

Inge’s passion for interior design cannot be doubted; neither can her sheer hard work and determination.

“My family taught me to always make a plan, to be positive and innovative, to have the courage to face up to issues and to never give up. Talent and the gift of being alive to what’s around them are essential for designers, but so, I believe, is the willingness to work hard,” she said.

Some of Inge’s most recent projects include Hotel Maria Cristina in San Sebastian; The Alpina Gstaad; a new Jumeirah hotel and a destination restaurant, both in St Petersburg; the Couture Suite in the St Regis Rome and the Royal Suite in the InterContinental Park Lane, amongst others.
