This March Wilfred Bagshaw’s Time Emporium, launched last year with a sell-out run, has invited guests on a new time travelling adventure in a new stunning location in a 17th Century Manor House just outside London.
In the next installation of The Time Emporium, which takes place between the 12th and 15th March, Wilfred invites you into his ancestral home to discover the curios and characters he has gathered from throughout history, previously only accessible in books. His ground-breaking approach blends immersive theatre and pervasive gaming and puts the audience at the heart of the action, inviting them to become part of the story and affect the outcome.
The event is organised by Disappear Here – a new collaboration between The Winterwell festival and pervasive gaming company The Tom Sawyer Effect. As such there will be both a fantastic narrative to both follow and engage with and also unashamed entertainment and revelry from different eras.
If required, the Bagshaw chartered coach will pick people up from London, taking them to Aynhoe Park and into history. Along the way they will see wonders of the world from places including Rome, Egypt and Constantinople and even meet history’s most notable alumni.
Travellers will sample delights from the past, present – and possibly the future – either simply by watching the action unfold around them or throwing themselves into the middle of it, perhaps even becoming a hero for the night. Wilfred Bagshaw’s House of Wonder promises to be truly a night out like no other.
Tickets for Wilfred Bagshaw’s Time Emporium are priced at £65 (limited to 150 people per night) and are available now. Coach tickets are available from London £20 return and are departing from 6pm with a return time of 10.30pm. The pick-up and return drop-off point will be the Hilton Hotel on Holland Park Avenue.
The nearest mainline stations are Bicester North and King’s Sutton, served by direct trains from London Marylebone (journey time 45mins, fares from £27.50 return).
