In February 2014, Henry Boot Construction Ltd’s Eastern Division announced it was to begin work on a multi-million pound project to transform a 15 acre former industrial site in Stocksbridge into a mixed use development. The development is scheduled for completion in 2016 and will comprise a 630,000 sq ft Tesco store, a 635 space car park, retail units, restaurant and café units, office space and a new link road to the A616 Sheffield to Manchester Road.
