The £1 million project in Loudwater comprised the demolition of an existing house and the construction of a new seven-bedroom property. The stunning new dwelling was constructed to the highest standards and was fitted with energy saving solar panels.
Work began on the project in February 2013 and reached completion in April 2014. Broadway Construction worked with Keith Simpson of Simpson McHugh Architects on the project.

“The project took place on a small, quiet street in Loudwater. It was a restricted site so we had to really think outside of the box when it came to getting materials to the site, whilst at the same time remaining considerate to neighbours. The project certainly had its challenges, but was completed on programme.”
Stair specialist McWeeney Construction Ltd was responsible for the installation of stairs on the Ladywood Close project. The stairs are a significant feature of the property, helping to create the dwelling’s ‘wow’ factor.

Additional high profile works for Broadway Construction include The John Betts Primary School extension and high-end residential project, The Boat House.
The John Betts Primary School project was a £500,000 scheme designed to extend facilities at the school. The project comprised the construction of a new extension which included additional classrooms, washroom facilities, a library and an IT suite.

“This project saw Broadway Construction build a new extension to the existing school, complete with a sedum green roof. The project was completed in June 2013 and the feedback was fantastic. The Headmistress at the school commented that we were the best contractor that she had ever worked with.”
The Boat House was a high-end residential scheme for Olympic medallist Alan Pascoe. The £750,000 project saw the new boat house built on an existing property and incorporated a large slipway below the Thames, in addition to full living facilities on the first floor.
