Scitech

Founded more than ten years ago, Scitech is an employee-owned business, providing clients with a full range of engineering, construction and professional services.

Scitech provides services to the main geographical life science sectors of Europe through a network which includes Antwerp, Breda and Woking, and with sector specific skills including consulting, project management, cost management, financial control and construction management.

Scitech’s services cover a wide range of specialist sectors, from biotechnology, bulk pharmaceutical chemical manufacture to dosage form production and Radiopharmaceuticals. The company is committed to ensuring all its work meets the expectations of its clients, and it maintains a quality management system based on the ISO 9001 principles. The company provides specific consultancy services, including validation, training, mock inspections and compliance auditing and this has proved very beneficial to its clients.

Scitech works closely with its specialist construction and engineering teams to ensure that all new-build and refurbished facilities are completed and delivered to the highest standards. Meanwhile, the company’s proactive project management team works hard to plan, monitor and control all aspects of a project, with risk, safety, cost and supply chain management all taken into account. When it comes to design and engineering, Scitech offers a specialised service which includes master planning, location and site analysis, concept design and preliminary engineering, amongst other services.

One of the key factors behind Scitech’s success is the first-class team of staff that it boasts. Staff are trained and then retained, so that only the best people work for the company, allowing Scitech to offer a true wealth of talent.

Over the past decade, Scitech has steadily built up a strong client base, with many leading industry names amongst its diverse portfolio, including GlaxoSmithKline, Boots, Next Pharma, GE Healthcare, Caymen Chemicals and CSK Food Enrichment. Scitech has also provided services for many hospitals, including Guy’s & St Thomas’ in London; Royal Victoria in Belfast; Christie’s in Manchester; and Addenbrookes in Cambridge.

Scitech believes in ‘perfect outcomes’ and this is the approach the company takes to undertaking all its work. Each project works towards an objective, collaborative and innovative approach which adds value.

‘Perfect outcomes’ for Scitech include the reinstatement of a manufacturing facility and QC lab for GE Healthcare; and the relocation of a production facility for FDG. In addition, Scitech was tasked with creating a flexible laboratory for Pfizer, which resulted in a 15% reduction of capital cost, a 30% reduction of lifecycle costs, a 50% saving in energy and the Pfizer Green Building Award.

Scitech strives to exceed its own high standards of health and safety practices. All company health and safety management arrangements are independently assessed and accredited and supported by regular audits and continuous improvement processes.
