Kier comprises three main divisions; Kier Construction, Kier Services and Kier Property. The construction arm of Kier offers nationwide coverage of locally managed, integrated businesses providing services to both the private and public sector. The services Kier are able to undertake include building, infrastructure, civil engineering, mining, mechanical and electrical design and installation, as well as BIM and 3D modelling.

Kier Services provide clients with an extensive range of outsourced front line, back office and technical asset management services for both private and public sector clients. This division offers Asset Management, Environmental Services, Facilities Management, Fleet and Passenger Services, Highway Services, Housing Maintenance, Rail Services, Utility Services and Waterways Services.

Kier Property, the final division of Kier Group, provides an array of services including commercial property development, social housing, private house building and mixed tenure regeneration projects, residential and commercial regeneration, as well as investment in the Private Finance Initiative.

The Kier team has recently undertaken a seven year programme of works for York Hospital. This scheme involves the phased construction of new build breast, haematology and oncology (BHO) department, formed a new six-theatre suite and a new ultra-modern interim critical care unit (ICCU).

Kier also carried out a theatre upgrade programme, part of which involved the refurbishment of the hospitals bereavement suite. A new aseptic pharmacy, a multi-storey car park are also part of the development scheme; the car park covers the ground, first and second floors creating space for 440 cars on all levels.
