The association has established a list of approved installers for injected and sprayed polyurethane foam and so is confident when recommending firms to customers that they will receive the highest quality service. BUFCA works to promote high standards within the polyurethane foam industry and consistently works alongside its supplier members to regulate the industry.

The aim of BUFCA is to train new and existing suppliers in the Urethane Foam Contracting industry in a bid to maintain good working standards. Installer training includes equipment training, on-site commissioning and training and continual back-up and support from the equipment and PU foam supplier members.

PU foam has multiple benefits when applied to a property including enhanced insulation, stabilisation of the building structure and its ability to save energy. The foam also has carbon saving abilities as well as proofing properties from draughts and sound proofing. Adding PU Foam to a property offers condensation control and also prevents air leakage; the foam also allows properties with high energy performance to achieve higher market values.

Home owners are sure to reap the rewards after installing polyurethane foam to their property. The foam can be spray applied or injected to provide an exceptional level of insulation in your home. The foam can be applied anywhere in one’s house and is extremely beneficial when applied in the roof, loft, loft conversion, wall, floor, ceiling and voids as they add extra insulation to the property.

PU Foam is extremely environmental friendly and research has shown that it plays a key role in the cost effective reduction of carbon dioxide emissions in Europe, saving up to 350 million tonnes each year. BUFCA are eager to promote insulation materials that can be most easily and efficiently retrofitted, as this is the best way to save energy and insulation, need to be prioritised.

BUFCA are proud that their PU Foam offers amongst the best insulation value as the foam seals all gaps and moulds itself to all contours. The foam also has the ability to provide significant structural strength and create its own vapour control layer, which is essential in today’s highly insulated buildings.
