Located in Anglesey, North Wales, Silver Bay Holiday Village is a holiday home village providing comfort, style and affordable family accommodation.

The holiday village is set against the backdrop of rolling countryside and with private access to the beach and 24-hour security, Silver Bay is perfect for those wanting to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Keen to provide holiday makers with the best possible stay, Silver Bay is currently in the process of constructing a new leisure complex which will offer a number of fantastic facilities. The complex will include a 15×8 metre swimming pool, a fitness suite, a children’s pool, therapy rooms, spa pool, steam room, café, an aerobics/multipurpose room and changing areas.

Work began on the new build project in November 2013 with Pinelog as the main contractor. Initial work on the project was kept low-key, with Pinelog establishing a secure, self-contained compound to provide a safe working area within the holiday park.

Foundation excavation works took place at the beginning of December and ran through until the Christmas break on 20th December. Work picked up again on 6th January 2014 with the installation of floor slab, followed by the construction of the pool cover pit and the installation of the pool drain.

Throughout February and March a number of deliveries were made to the site so that concrete blocks could be installed, along with a glulam and timber frame. During the final week of March, plant which was used for the building’s foundations was removed from site. Moving into April floor joists, timber roof decking and roof insulation was delivered to site and work continued to make great progress ahead of a brief close down for Easter.

Floor boards and additional concrete were delivered to site in May as Pinelog continued constructing internal walls and the building’s roof. As the leisure complex continued to take shape first-fix electrical work was conducted, along with mechanical and plastering works and tiling.

The installation of changing facilities, along with second fix joinery, electrical, plumbing and mechanical work took place in June. A chair lift was also installed, in addition to vinyl flooring to the building’s kitchenette, café and reception.

Work on the project at Silver Bay Holiday Village is currently scheduled to reach completion in August 2014.
