Titanic Hotel, Berlin

The construction of an impressive seven-storey high, 389-room hotel in Berlin Mitte proceeds well and is set to reach completion by March 2015.

The Titanic Hotel Chausseestraße comprises an array of exciting features including a restaurant, ballroom and a large wellness area with a Turkish steam bath, sauna and pool. Funded by project management company Moonday GmbH for €35 million, the project began in November 2011 and represents the second Berlin location of Titanic Resorts and Hotels.

The hotel’s restaurant serves 150 diners, and the event room, located on the ground floor, is as impressive as the restaurant and provides space for up to 1.400 guests. With its seven metre high ceiling the room is multi-functional and can be used for large conferences, stage events or gatherings and festivities like balls and wedding receptions.

One of the hotel’s most exciting features is the wellness area, which stretches over two basement levels and comprises a luxurious pool and sauna. The design of the spa area and especially its ornamentation relates directly to the Turkish origin of the hotel operator, Titanic Resorts & Hotels.

The architecture and design of the building was penned by nps tchoban voss Berlin, with interiors by Aslı Arıkan Dayıoğlu structural engineering by Dr. Ing Pelle Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH and building engineers F & P Consult. Main contractor is ANES Bauausführungen GmbH.

A representative from nps tchoban voss architects, said:

It is always a good feeling to see a project being realized; especially when one has been a part of it from the first sketch. We feel very fortunate about working with a large team at different locations and our staff in Dresden has been doing a great job conducting the detailed design stage and the entire construction management. Our final goal of course is to hand over the building to a happy client.”
