St James Mews, Dudley, NHBC Awards

Situated on Salop Street in Dudley, St James Mews is the latest housing development to hit the West Midlands courtesy of leading house builder Bellway Homes.

The development includes a range of one, three and four bedroom properties, with prices ranging from £162,250 to £266,250.

St James Mews presents houses in a range of styles, from the Ludlow – a three bedroom mid-terrace – to the Bewdley – a four bedroom detached house. Additional house types include the Stafford, the Wyvern, the Mapleton, the Desford and the Yoxall.

St James Mews comprises a total of 83 units with all properties built using traditional methods of brick and block. Windows are made from uPVC, with wooden doors and pantile roofing completing the dwellings and internally all of the properties are finished with high quality fixtures and fittings. Every property on the development also includes a garden, as well as a garage.

The development is situated close to a range of amenities including shops and leisure facilities as well as schools, including Jesson’s C of E and Castle High. The ever-popular Merry Hill shopping centre is also close by and with a multi-screen cinema, countless retailers and plenty of parking, it’s the perfect escape for a day out with the family.

Work began on the development at the end of December 2013 and is continuing to make great progress. The project is currently scheduled to reach completion in March 2015 and to date approximately 60 dwellings have been constructed.

Speaking to Premier Construction, Will Graham, Bellway Homes Site Manager for St James Mews, said:

“St James Mews has been a great development to work on and so far everything has run very smoothly on the project.”

St James Mews, Dudley, NHBC Awards

Site Manager Will has recently picked up an NHBC Pride in the Job Award for his work on St James Mews. The award marks the first time that Will has received recognition from the National House Building Council and it is something which he is extremely pleased about.

Will said:

“Winning this award is a huge achievement for me. To be selected from an extensive shortlist such as the one the NHBC has, demonstrates that we must be doings something right. The West Midlands region has won five awards with the NHBC.”

Bellway Homes ensures a high standard of service and a high quality build on all of its projects and has been recognised by the National House Builder Federation with a Five Star rating for Customer Satisfaction. The company has been in operation for almost 70 years and today is one of the most successful house builders in the UK, with 2,000 employees.

Bellway Homes operates fifteen regional offices and puts customer care at the forefront of all its projects. From one bedroom apartments through to luxury penthouses, Bellway Homes treats all its customers with the same level of service from pre-sale through to completion.

The Help to Buy scheme is available on the St James Mews development. The scheme provides house buyers with the opportunity to receive an equity loan from the UK government when placing a minimum deposit of 5%. The government incentive can provide up to 20% of the value of the new home, leaving home owners to secure the remaining 75% from a bank or building society.
