Located in Southbourne, Bournemouth just a short distance away from the town’s sandy beaches, Cliff House Hotel is a stunning, must-stay boutique hotel which combines history with style.

The hotel was built during the latter half of the 19th Century, but has recently undergone a makeover which has preserved the building’s historic features whilst showcasing new additions.

The hotel includes 14 bedrooms each individually styled and divided into three categories: Superior, Premium and Premium Plus. Each bedroom includes a range of features, from smart TVs and Nespresso coffee machines, to writing desks and Wi-Fi and each room highlights the unique charm of the hotel.

Rooms throughout the hotel include bespoke furniture, luxurious fabrics and fantastic lighting and are perfectly spaced to provide the ideal balance of design and comfort. The hotel’s design also showcases an inviting colour scheme, which presents warmth and detail, ensuring guests are provided with the best possible stay.

Work began on the renovation project in January 2014 and reached completion in June 2014. Bournemouth-based Heritage Home Improvements was the main contractor on the project, whilst Ellesse Interiors was responsible for the hotel’s interior design work.

Lesley Tindle of Ellesse Interiors, said:

“Since opening the feedback from the hotel has been excellent. This project was extremely important for Ellesse Interiors as it was a great showcase for our work.”

In addition to a great collection of bedrooms, the hotel also includes a terrace and gardens – perfect for a sunny afternoon – as well as bright and airy bar lounge, presenting the perfect way to enjoy a relaxing meal. Cliff House Hotel serves breakfast from 7:30am to 9:30am on weekdays and 8am to 10am on weekends. The hotel’s bar lounge menu is served from 10am until 9pm seven days a week.

The hotel’s bar lounge is open to both residents and non-residents and not only provides an inviting atmosphere, but also serves up a range of tempting dishes. Highlights include a variety of platters and chicken Caesar salad with corn fed chicken, baby gem lettuce, anchovies and garlic croutons.

Cliff House Hotel is also the perfect setting for events, especially if a wedding is the order of the day. The entire hotel can be hired exclusively for a wedding party or private event and with its large gardens and divine décor, the hotel will certainly make the occasion memorable. In addition to weddings, Cliff House Hotel is available for corporate events, meetings, lunches, dinners and conferences with a bespoke business package on offer.
