Murifield Contracts also has a Specialist Render Division which has gained an enviable reputation in the construction industry since its formation in 1995. The firm is the longest serving External Wall Insulation applicators in Scotland; the firm is also members of INCA, the Insulated Render and Cladding Association.
Muirfield’s Specialist Division are approved applicators for the following system suppliers; Alumasc, BRC, Dryvit, Enewall, K-rend, Knauf, Natural Building Technologies (NBT), Parex, Permarock, Rockwool, Structherm, Sto, Weber, Wetherby.
Muirfield’s Civil Works Division carries out all of the firm’s infrastructure, site servicing and hard landscaping works. Employees within this department have extensive experience in all aspects of site development and servicing works including grouting, ground consolidation, and the treatment and removal of contaminated materials.
This Division ensures projects are not overly reliant on sub-contractors and as a result the company maintains a higher level of control over the highest risk elements of substructure and infrastructure works. They have detailed knowledge and skills necessary for dealing with the most challenging site conditions providing extremely cost effective solutions and bringing their invaluable experience to all projects. The division undertakes an array of projects including Earth Works and Excavation, Sewers and Drainage, Road Works, Building Foundations, Operation Specialised Ground Working Equipment, as well as Footpaths and Hard Landscaping.
The firm’s flexibility is shown through their ability to carry out minor works as well as larger projects. The Minor Works Division consists of a small team of highly experienced personnel dedicated to providing high quality work, focusing on lower value contracts specifically. Minor Works encompass projects with contract values of up to £400,000, as well as works which include Reactive Repairs & Maintenance. The team also undertakes Refurbishment Works, Insurance Repair, New Build Projects, Home Extensions and Improvements and Alteration Works. The firm is also a property developer and currently has luxurious three and four bedroom homes at Keillor Steading, outside Dundee, available. The properties are mortgage free for a year and are also available with other incentives.
Muirfield are also very aware of the impact their working activities have on the environment and acknowledge their responsibility to future generations. To minimise their impact the firm has introduced an Environmental Management System achieving ISO 14001 Environmental Management System accreditation. This policy and management system introduces controls that enable the firm to improve their environmental performance and reduce any negative impact on the environment.
