Earlier this year, Sisk announced that it was to build New York loft-style apartments in the heart of Victoria in London. The project is being implemented by the Alchemi Group and will involve the conversion of an office block on Victoria Street into 54 luxury apartments.
The building’s existing stone façade is being stripped and clad in handmade charcoal fired bricks, whilst floor plates will be enlarged to provide an extension to the rear of the building. The transformed building will include a range of studio flats and split-level penthouses, as well as a gymnasium and two communal gardens.
Work began on the project in April and will see the existing building extended from eight storeys to 12. John Sisk & Son is working with leading architects Stiff + Trevillion on the project which is set to achieve a BREEAM rating of ‘Excellent’ once complete.
