For more than 46 years Deborah Services Limited (DSL) has provided industrial services, hire and sale provisions and contract scaffolding for use within the construction industry.

DSL operates throughout the UK and Ireland employing approximately 1,600 members of staff in more than 60 strategically located sites.

DSL is involved with a number of prestigious projects including the Vivergo scheme and the Kinsale Energy project. On the Vivergo scheme, DSL is involved in the insulation and painting of pipe-work, tanks and vessels, as well as coating and shot blasting, whilst on the Kinsale Energy project DSL’s Industrial Services division is providing access services and maintenance shutdown services.

The Industrial Services division of DSL provides access solutions, insulations, asbestos removal, passive fire protection, industrial rope access and protective coatings services to the petrochemical, pharmaceutical, power generation, nuclear power and offshore sectors. Meanwhile, the company’s Hires and Sales division supplies temporary fencing, scaffolding, light access, groundwork equipment and temporary roofing to the construction industry.

DSL’s third division is Contract Scaffolding, which is recognised as one of the UK’s major suppliers of scaffolding services, employing a workforce which includes highly skilled and experienced scaffolding erectors. The division operates within the infrastructure sector, as well as the commercial building & refurbishment, restoration, residential building & refurbishment and civil engineering and maintenance sectors. DSL’s Contract Scaffolding division has its own dedicated training facility and is one of the leading members of the National Access and Scaffolding Confederation (NASC).

As a safety conscious contractor DSL maintains a commitment to safety and quality, all keeping in line with the company’s Safety, Health, Environment, Quality and Training (SHEQT) policies. In June, the company announced that it had reached a major safety milestone with its endeavour to create a zero harm environment with the Exxon Mobil Fawley Refinery scheme.

DSL completed three years’ work on the Exxon Mobil Fawley Refinery scheme without suffering an accident which required anything more than first aid treatment. DSL’s success on the project was accredited to a relentless focus on safety and this was something that was championed by Managing Director, Steve Flounders and adopted by his team of directors and senior managers.

A spokesperson for DSL, said:

“Deborah Services is a leading supplier of multi-discipline services including access, insulation, asbestos removal, protective coatings and passive fire protection services to blue chip clients across a range of market sectors. We hire and sell scaffolding, light access and equipment to major national construction service providers.

“We believe in an open and mutually beneficial relationship with our customers and aim to deliver innovative cost effective solutions with the highest standards of safety, quality of work, cost control, environmental care and operational performance.

“Our goals of organic growth and profitable returns will be achieved through talented and trained people who are treated with the utmost respect and have opportunities to advance in an environment of fairness, trust and open communication.”
