Dear readers,

Welcome to the latest edition of Premier Hospitality. Amongst an array of exciting projects in the hospitality industry this month we focus on the opening of Bubba Gump, as well as finding out more about the multi million refurbishment of the glorious Foxhill Manor. We also explore Trump International Hotel & Tower which has been recognised as one of the finalists in the hotel category of this year’s SBID International Design Awards.

Firstly, lets take a closer look at Europe’s first Bubba Gump Shrimp Company franchise. The venue has undergone a Åí1.85m contract to refurbish premises at 7-14 Coventry Street in the former Planet Hollywood site at London’s Trocadero.

The venue is spread over two floors and comprises a 400 seater restaurant, a ‘retail market’ selling merchandise, a bar and a ‘Gump House’ for group parties. Known for its outstanding seafood, the American chain takes inspiration from Forrest Gump and has over 40 restaurants across the globe.

Foxhill Manor, an eight bedroom boutique manor house, opened in April this year following a four month renovation programme. The new venue lies within the walls of a recently refurbished Grade II building situated at the heart of the private 400-acre Farncombe Estate near Broadway, in Worcestershire. Built in 1909 the Manor has now been restored to its original glory; works began on site in January this year, following a year of planning, with Trevillion Interiors acting as the project designers and Zenith Contract Services as the main contractor.

Trump International Hotel & Tower is situated in the buzzing financial district of Toronto. Premier Hospitality caught up with Dan Menchions, a Partner in II By IV Design, to find out more about the impressive 65 storey hotel. Dan said:

“The building had already been constructed by another brand before our client purchased the Trump name and the site. The clients wanted this venue to be the first Canadian location of a Trump hotel. We presented our design concept to the client in 2008 and they loved it and so we got on board then. The theme was champagne and caviar which runs throughout the hotel.”

The hotel opened in January 2012 and has since been crowned as the best hotel in Toronto by Tripadvisor.

With all this and more, sit back and tuck in to another helping of Premier Hospitality.
