Dear readers, Welcome to the latest edition of Premier Construction: Channel Islands Construction Focus.

First up this month in the spotlight is Guernsey based, family run construction company; Wheeler Developments. The company offer clients a one stop service and have been established for 34 years providing an array of services including a full project management service for large and small projects, property development, property conversions, new build schemes, renovation and refurbishments, remodeling and a bespoke design service.

The firm specialise in bespoke, luxury residential developments. We take a look at the company’s latest developments including Meadow View Farm and The Cariboos. Meadow View Farm, which is on site currently, involves the conversion of a derelict two bed farmhouse into a 4,500 square feet, four bed, luxury home.

Next up is Andium Homes; who began operations as a wholly States-owned company in July 2014. The firm is now Jersey’s largest provider of affordable housing, managing more than 4,500 properties and providing homes for more than 10,000 Islanders. We explore what the future holds for Andium Homes, namely ensuring all homes previously owned by the States of Jersey are brought up to the Decent Homes Standard in the next 10 years.

Lastly, we focus on The National Trust of Guernsey to find out how their quest to maintain the island’s beauty, history and heritage is coming along. The National Trust of Guernsey works tirelessly to protect places which everyone on the island can enjoy, and over the past 54 years has looked after a number of properties which have been bequeathed to the Trust. Two recent projects for The National Trust of Guernsey are Les Caches Barn and Brockhurst. The Les Caches Barns project – located at Les Caches Farm – reached completion earlier this year, whilst the Brockhurst project will see the transformation of a privately tenanted building and is scheduled to reach completion in May 2015.

With all this and more, look no further than Channel Islands Construction Focus for the latest awe-inspiring developments that continue to shape the architectural landscape.
