The Medway team hard at work
Medway Mechanical services have secured a place on Portsmouth city council’s Mechanical framework agreement.
The framework agreement was set up by PCC to enable them to have four Mechanical contractors that have been pre qualified to carry out large mechanical building services projects within their schools, libraries, community centres & all non residential commercial buildings. The projects due to come out through this framework are likely to be new heating systems, plant room upgrades, AC & ventilation. The application process for the framework agreement is extensive and consists of various PQQ’s relating to project management, health & safety, quality control & site supervision, the applicants are awarded points based on the PQQ’s they submit & the top four contractors are offered a place on the framework agreement.
Medway’s Managing Director Paul Willett spoke with us about the Framework agreement & application process:
“We are extremely happy to have secured a place on the PCC framework agreement. We were approached by PCC about this early last year and received the official invitation & application package through the in tend service back in September2014. We were only given six weeks to complete the application so there was a lot of work to do in a short amount of time, we have completed many PQQ’s for different projects in the past but this application was by far the most extensive we have done to date. We had to provide case studies of recently completed projects along with all the Health & Safety documentation that has come to be expected with these types of framework agreements. I’d like to say a special thank you to our office manager Tracy Jeffery for all her hard work on this, Tracy acted as an architect for our application ensuring everyone within the company was aware of any information they were required to provide and carefully pieced it all together within the final stages, without her diligent approach we may not have scored so highly with the application.”
