The Tool Connection

The Tool Connection is a leading supplier of tools and associated hardware for the automotive sector.

The company’s products are available through automotive wholesale outlets, motor factors, independent retailers, hardware stores and van sales. The company is well known for its high quality and its value for money products and with a technical service which is second to none, The Tool Connection is capable of meeting all its clients’ needs.

The Tool Connection formed in 1986 and over the years has built up a steady line of business which has helped it become a reputable name within the industry. The Tool Connection began exporting products in the late 1980s and has since exported products throughout Europe, including Germany, Norway, Holland, Poland, Slovenia and the Czech Republic.

The Tool Connection

Over the years The Tool Connection has updated its tool range with brands that include Kamasa, Eldon, Laser Tools, Gunson and Power-Tec. Products range from general hand tools, batteries and brakes, to engine timing tools, automotive hand tools and diagnostic equipment.

Keen to remain at the forefront of the automotive industry, The Tool Connection recently implemented a warehouse extension scheme which was designed to provide the company with additional storage space. The project saw an existing building demolished, alterations made to existing resources and the implementation of new build construction works.

Construction work on the project was delivered by A & H Construction & Developments Plc and was successfully handed over towards the end of 2014. Based in Halesowen and with more than 20 years’ experience in the trade, A & H Construction delivers all aspects of building works, including civil engineering and project management.

The Tool Connection warehouse project comprised the construction of a steel framed, cladded building complete with loading doors. In addition, a wrap-around office – designed to house delivery personnel – was added to an existing unit.

A & H Construction & Developments Plc Contracts Manager, Brett Cartwright, said:

“Work on the project ran as expected and we encountered no major challenges. This was the first time that we had worked with The Tool Connection but we are keen to work with the company again on any of their future projects.”

Recent products for The Tool Connection have included aluminium head hammers & dollies, precision driver sets and multi-tool bicycle tool kits from Kamasa.

Another new addition to The Tool Connection’s portfolio is the Relay Removal Pliers from Laser Tools, which are designed to save time whilst getting the job done. The jaws of the pliers are specifically designed to grasp the relay in a safe and secure manner, whilst the composite handle is spring loaded, to allow for easy use.
