Motel One – the budget design hotel chain – has arrived in the nation’s capital.
Situated on Minories Road, between Aldgate and Tower Hill tube station, Motel One London-Tower Hill opened in December 2014 and boasts 291 rooms and a design which screams English charm. Rooms start from as little as £98 per night and are in line with the brand’s trusted motto of ‘great design for little money.’
The hotel is perfectly placed within walking distance of many of the city’s main tourist attractions and showcases design touches which are unique to its location. Highlights include images of the Crown Jewels, glamorous Swarowski crystals, a contemporary candelabra, leather armchairs and Chesterfield sofas.
For business or for pleasure, Motel One London-Tower Hill will guarantee a comfortable night’s stay. The bathrooms are elegantly fitted with granite and glass Dornbracht washbasin fittings, as well as a monsoon rain shower.
Bedrooms include exclusive Artemide Tolomeo lighting and LOEWE flat screen TVs and plenty of storage space for luggage and hanging space. Meanwhile, the hotel includes free Wi-Fi access throughout the building, with i-Pads available from the One Lounge.
Motel One launched in Germany, where it found great success before expanding further afield. At present, Motel One has 48 hotels in its portfolio, with more than 12,900 rooms across countries including Belgium, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic and the UK.
Motel now plans to grow this collection of hotels to 74 hotels by 2017. In line with a successful growth strategy, Motel One’s proposed hotels will soon be appearing in Manchester, Vienna and Amsterdam, and this will in turn provide the hotel group with up to 19,300 rooms.
Dieter Müller, CEO of Motel One Group, said:
“In Austria we opened the first four hotels in Salzburg and Vienna and with our Motel One in Edinburgh and in London we did our first move to the UK. By 2017, we wish to expand the network of locations to 74 hotels. Ambitious objectives that we will achieve with the support of our partners and the high level of motivation of our staff.”
Single rooms at Motel One London-Tower Hill start from £98 per night with a breakfast buffet priced at an additional £9.50. For more information about Motel One or to make a booking, please visit: www.motel-one.com.
