Yorkon is a modular building manufacturer offering clients across the UK a wide range of building modules.
As the leading specialist in off-site modular construction, Yorkon is an experienced manufacturer, with vast experience in design and innovation, capable of taking on projects of varying size.
Yorkon’s building modules can meet almost any building footprint and with no visible columns, either internally or externally, they offer a seamless façade which can be specified with or without cladding. Yorkon’s revolutionary new wall construction offers improved insulation and acoustic performance, along with a wide choice of window options.
All modular buildings are delivered on time, on budget and in a safe and sustainable manner. As the buildings are built off-site, noise pollution is vastly reduced and as there is considerably less vehicles travelling to and from site, there is also less environmental pollution.
Providing clients with peace of mind is a key focus of Yorkon’s operations, which is why the company has been designed specifically as a one-stop shop.
Yorkon provides services to a range of sectors, from education, healthcare and PharmaChem to offices, retail and transport. Past projects have included Edmonton County School, George Spicer School, a National Grid substation in Thorpe Marsh, London City Airport headquarters and Anglesey Airport, amongst others. Yorkon was also responsible for the first nuclear analysis laboratory to be built using modular construction, which took place in Dounreay.
A recent project for Yorkon has been the £4.5 million City Farm Primary School scheme, which comprised the creation of an extension in order to provide the school with a two-storey teaching block. The teaching block includes space for a reception area, admin and office accommodation, an interview room and more. Additional works on the project include a multi-use sports block, which includes two badminton courts and a mini football pitch.
Yorkon has more than 25 years’ experience in the modular school buildings sector and within this time has worked closely with LEAs, schools, colleges, architects, contractors and consultants. The Yorkon building system has successfully provided the education sector with flexible structures which are ideal for a wide range of educational uses.
A spokesperson for Yorkon, said:
