Ziya Asian Grill, Manchester

Ziya Asian Grill offers the perfect destination venue for diners to experience one of Manchester’s finest, authentic and traditional Indian restaurants.

Ziya can be found in perfect surroundings situated in a perfect location right in the heart of Manchester’s famous curry mile.

The venue delivers an exclusive fine dining experience coupled with exceptional service, in beautiful modern surroundings.  The venue has been open for a year and has stood the test of time, going from strength to strength whilst consistently impressing diners with its unique menu. The menu is competitively priced has been personally created by Ziya’s Head Chef and kitchen team.

Business Development Manager Jane Stacey has worked alongside her father and brother, Roy and Paul Crossley to bring the Ziya brand to life. Premier Hospitality caught up with Jane to find out more:

“We purchased the original building and completely ripped it out and it has had a bare shell refurbishment. We have designed and fitted the restaurant out from scratch. We have spared no expense on the fixtures and fittings and the final cost was in excess of £2 Million.

“The venue’s décor is not typically Indian, we decided to utilise colours that are very modern and warm, gold hues, burnt oranges and bronzes across three floors of dining space, bars, VIP lounge and an open plan kitchen.’’

Jane was particularly proud that the grill side of the restaurant was taking off, she added:

“All the meat is from premium quality suppliers and is Halal; we do a fantastic Fillet Steak, Duck Breast and Chilli Garlic Sea Bass. We will also look to add dishes to the menu seasonally and include some amazing chef’s specials.”

After consulting with some high profile interior designers and builders Roy and Paul were left uninspired by their approach and they took it upon themselves to project manage and design everything. This was a massive challenge but has certainly paid off. The top floor is a private dining area for up to 30 guests with its own VIP lounge and bar.

The first floor can seat 44 and also has a balcony for alfresco dining, the ground floor seats 26 and has a chefs table which looks into the high spec open plan kitchen. The venues stairs have also been fitted with vibrant colour changing LED lights and the wooden flooring used was Rasteslli from the Strada Collection supplied by Ted Todd Flooring.

The seating and tables are all solid oak and were supplied by GoIn Germany and the venues luxurious wall coverings were supplied by Cross interiors in Lymm. The stunning toilets would give most 5 star hotels a run for their money featuring custom quartz stone tiles and high end fittings from Geberit, Keramag and Bathco.

The venue can seat approximately 100 people across all three floors and also offers the flexibility for private dining on the top floor.

The construction team worked tirelessly on site to ensure the project ran smoothly and overcame numerous construction related hurdles to deliver on time. Diners and guests at Ziya can immerse themselves in the restaurant’s luxurious surroundings, which stands out as the go-to venue in Manchester’s vibrant curry mile.

Jane added:
“I am really excited that we have opened Ziya, it means a lot to me and my family. There isn’t a high quality Indian restaurant which is as unique as Ziya. I’m hoping it will attract people to the area so they can experience authentic traditional Indian food in our luxurious surroundings.

“We have a fantastic restaurant and excellent staff ready and willing to make sure all our guests get the full Ziya experience. I am proud that we have a five star hygiene rating and we are currently ranked 17th out of 1671 restaurants in Manchester. This is a testament to our dedication to customer satisfaction and the quality of our food made by our excellent chefs, my family are really proud of the beautiful restaurant we have created and we have managed to keep the pricing really competitive.”
