International construction and property consultancy, Gleeds, has recently announced the appointment of Stephen Crichton as Director of Project Management in its Birmingham office.

Stephen is one of a number of new appointments for the expanding practice, whose Birmingham operation has grown by 20% in the last 12 months.

Stephen brings with him nearly 30 years’ experience as a quantity surveyor and will take responsibility for managing the project management team in Birmingham. He will be working across a range of projects, including several heritage and listed building schemes. He has already secured a number of notable commissions including the Wolverhampton Civic Hall refurbishment.

In addition to Stephen’s appointment, the office has further strengthened its presence in the area through the promotion of Lee Priddle and Leigh Remington to Cost Management Director and Associate Director of Project Management respectively. Lee Priddle first joined the company from Locus in 2009, while Leigh Remington has 10 years’ experience with Gleeds since joining as a Senior Project Manager in 2005.

Lee’s new role will involve the management of key accounts and large, complex schemes such as the prestigious Snowhill development, as well as the technical output of the entire cost management team in Birmingham. Meanwhile, Leigh’s promotion means he takes responsibility for managing a developing team and will deliver high profile projects like the £70 million regeneration programme for developer, St Modwen.
