The Lucky Pig, Fulham

Located at 374 Northend Road, The Lucky Pig Fulham is a fantastic restaurant and cocktail bar, boasting delicious drinks and a fine selection of dishes.

The venue is the second site in The Lucky Pig collection – sitting alongside The Lucky Pig Cocktail Bar Fitzrovia – and offers hospitality in abundance, alongside all the glamour of the roaring ‘20s!

The Lucky Pig Fulham opened at the beginning of May 2015 and is trading well with extremely positive feedback.

Keith Tucker, a partner in The Lucky Pig, commented:

“We’ve had great reviews, with the food in particular gaining very good reviews. I can’t complain – we’re really happy! We achieved what we wanted to, which was to make a light, airy venue which is somewhat classy.

“Whereas our sister site, The Lucky Pig Fitzrovia is a prohibition-style bar, our Fulham venue celebrates the glitz and the glamour of the past, leaning more towards the Great Gatsby era of the 1920s.”

As well as being a partner in the business, Keith is the owner of Barracuda Construction, the contractor behind the venue’s transformation.

Keith said:

“The Lucky Pig Fulham has been in development for a good couple of years. The lease was finalised last year, with building permit granted in January 2015. Work then began on what would be a three-month project, which saw us completely gut-out the building, whilst in the process bring in as much natural light as possible.

“It’s a beautiful old building, but it only had two windows when we started, so we opened up the side of the building to bring in more light. It was an old parish hall, so we wanted to strip it back to its original structure, with some substantial renovation work in the process.”

Keith added:

“This project has been incredibly important for me, because of my position as partner and contractor. It is a position that most building contractors will never find themselves in, where they wear the hats of the client and the building contractor at the same time, but it has allowed me to make decisions on the hop if required.”

Design features of The Lucky Pig Fulham include parquet flooring, soft furnishings, reclaimed marble and a fantastic brass staircase. An open plan kitchen provides the venue with a dash of theatricality, whilst walls are decked out in mirrors and lighting has been specifically chosen to accentuate the design.

Davey Lighting was responsible for the supply of lighting to The Lucky Pig.

Commenting on the project, Charlie Bowles of Davey Lighting, said:

“It was fantastic to see our products being used on the project; lighting is so important to the feel of a bar.”

Dishes on offer at The Lucky Pig Fulham include poached duck egg with roast butternut squash and truffle oil, rillettes of Loch Duart salmon pressed with minted cucumber and toasted bread and turkey harm tartlet with nettles & chard. Meanwhile, the drinks list is extensive and includes imaginatively named concoctions such as Hanky Panky, Bonnie & Clyde’s Ride, The Lucky Pig’s Pursuit and the Pistachio Sour Puss.
