Welcome to the latest edition of Premier Construction: Channel Islands Construction Focus.
In this month’s issue we take a look at Le Friquet Hotel’s new restaurant & bar concept, Lobster & Grill Restaurant & Eddie’s Bar; we cast our eye over the refurbishment of The Boat House; and we catch up with Designplus as they celebrate their 10th anniversary.
Impressively transformed to include a stunning new restaurant, bar and lounge, the new Lobster & Grill Restaurant & Eddie’s Bar at the Le Friquet Hotel in Guernsey has got off to an excellent start, with diners flocking to try the new venue. The design of the new interior has made a big impression too, getting the thumbs up from guests and as well as other hotels.
Paul Rowe, managing director of Le Friquet Hotel, said:
“Since the new 62-cover restaurant opened, it has been a huge success – lobsters have been selling in their hundreds.”
Meanwhile, a project to restore and upgrade The Boat House has been a fantastic success.
The refurbishment was necessary following a fire last September, which engulfed the roof of the venue after breaking out in the kitchen area, severely damaging the first floor restaurant and roof. Three fire engines and over 20 firefighters tackled the blaze, with fire crews remaining on the scene for several hours. Now the contemporary style new Upper Deck restaurant is looking better than ever, following completion of the project for The Boat House Group.
And finally, possibly Jersey’s most creative and innovative architectural practice is celebrating their 10th anniversary this year. Based in the heart of Jersey’s capital St Helier, The Designplus team includes a variety of skilled professionals including architects, technologists, surveyors and interior designers.
With all this and more, look no further than Channel Islands Construction Focus for the latest awe-inspiring developments that continue to shape the architectural landscape.
