The newest phase completed by Norfolk Homes Ltd, known as The Ridings, comprises an extensive range of attractive homes from one bedroom apartments through to large, five bedroom properties. The site is a division of a larger project that is currently underway with Norfolk Homes.

The Ridings commenced in 2000, with an expected closing date of 2025. When complete, collectively the sites will consist of almost 800 houses in total.

Traditionally constructed, the houses are made up of brick and block, with the top-end interiors meeting the high standards of the carefully designed exteriors. With a range of properties to offer, the Ridings site is made up of three storey town houses, apartments and five bedroom detached houses that individually cover 2200² ft of land.

Ian Mutton of SMG Architects contributed toward the design aspects of the development, ensuring quality architectural planning. All homes are equipped with high spec fridge-freezers and televisions, top-end market doors and windows, and oven hob units. There is a choice of tiles available in all colours, in addition to the quality kitchens that are on offer also in a range of colours.

The exterior of the houses has been landscaped in order to enhance the aesthetic appearance of the properties, adding a bold statement at first glance. The Ridings site boasts breath-taking 15 acre woodland, a stream, pond, green gardens and play areas for children. Situated nearby the city of Norwich, local amenities are available within a short distance.

Premier Construction caught up with Sean Eagling, Site Manager of Norfolk Homes Ltd. We asked him how it feels to be a part of such a large project; he replied:

“It’s been my life for the last 15 years, and it feels rewarding to be creating a small village. I love the fact I’m building something as big as the biggest purchase: a house. A home is the foundation of life and if I can give that to somebody, I feel that is an achievement.”

Sean added:

“The feedback has been very positive; we never have any issues really.”

Norfolk Homes Ltd has been in operation since 1985, with a large portfolio demonstrating over 3000 new homes built in various locations. Sean Eagling has been with the company since 1997, and as Site Manager, this is the first NHBC award that he has received.

When asked how it felt to have attained the award, Sean told us:

“It makes me very happy! It proves that we are doing the job right. The biggest thing for me is to ensure that when people move in, they are happy with the results.”
