Dear readers,

Welcome to the latest edition of Premier Construction magazine.

In this month’s edition, we take a look at The Mount Hotel; we cast our eye over the new Nickelodeon store in Leicester Square; and we unveil revamp plans for Melton Mowbray’s historic cattle market.

Located on Mount Road, Wolverhampton, The Mount Hotel & Conference Centre is a stunning 65-bedroom hotel, boasting a fantastic collection of rooms, suites and conference facilities. The hotel is housed within a Grade II Listed manor house and provides the perfect place to rest, enjoy a relaxing break or to celebrate a wedding. Over the course of the last three years The Mount Hotel has been given a fantastic makeover, transforming and updating the offering so that guests are provided with the best facilities possible.

Meanwhile, SpongeBob SquarePants, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dora the Explorer and many of their friends from entertainment brand Nickelodeon, recently moved into their first European flagship store at No 1 Leicester Square, London. Not only the first store in Europe, but also the first flagship Nickelodeon store ever, the venue opened in May and is packed with just about everything that Nick fans have come to expect from the brand.

And finally, a multi-million pound project that will give Melton Mowbray’s historic cattle market a revamp will be managed by leading independent management, design and construction consultancy Pick Everard. Existing facilities at the cattle market have become outdated and Melton Borough Council wanted to give the site a revamp to secure its future for years to come – with a £5m redevelopment of the livestock market.

Partner at Pick Everard, Alastair Hamilton, said: “This is an exciting regeneration scheme for us to be involved in and demonstrates Pick Everard’s ability to work across a wide range of sectors. We have a great deal of experience working under the Scape framework and are delighted to have been appointed to deliver what is a significant scheme for Melton.”

With all this and more, join us as we explore the impressive construction projects that continue to shape our landscape.
