Two new Hampton by Hilton hotels in Bristol and Oxford are amongst the latest additions to the chain’s rapidly expanding portfolio.
One of the hotels is located at York House, Bond Street in Bristol City centre, whilst the Oxford hotel, in Grenoble Road, is the city’s first Hilton hotel.
Both venues were designed by ICA Architects.
Facilities at both hotels include guest rooms with 32-inch flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi, and spacious desk and ergonomic chair, air conditioning and power shower. Other features comprise a bar, breakfast area, business centre with fax, printing and photocopying services, as well as a restaurant and fitness room with state-of-the-art cardio, resistance and weights equipment.
Each hotel is designed to be fully accessible throughout, including guest rooms, public areas, elevators and parking areas.
Opened in September 2015, the 185-bedroom Bristol hotel was created through the refurbishment of an existing building, in a project where one of the main challenges was the building’s footprint.
Main contractors for the scheme were HOC Construction.
The hotel is one of a number of new hotels due to open over the next couple of years in and around the city centre to meet an ever-growing demand for accommodation.
Imran Ali, the hotel’s general manager said: “There is definitely an appetite for both business and leisure travellers to visit the city and to stay in quality accommodation.
“It’s therefore vital that the city can provide suitable accommodation to any new visitors and to have a highly-respected brand like Hampton by Hilton in the city centre helps cement its position as a leading player for business and leisure.”
Phil Cordell, global head, focused service and Hampton by Hilton brand management, Hilton Worldwide said: “The hotel is perfectly situated in the very heart of the thriving city of Bristol, within walking distance of all major attractions for both leisure and business guests. The new hotel in Bristol is part of Hampton by Hilton’s expansion throughout Europe.”
The first and only Hilton branded hotel in Oxford, the city’s new 103 bedroom Hampton by Hilton Hotel, due to open in December 2015, has been constructed on the side of Oxford United’s football ground, near Oxford’s business and leisure districts.
Project main contractors are J F Finnegan.
