TRADA have recently published a series of documents including, ‘Cross Laminated Timber: An Introduction’. Intended for architects, building designers and their clients, this document highlights and summarises the nature, benefits and potential uses of cross laminated timber (CLT). B & K Structures were among the group of specialists that peer reviewed the document.

The forthcoming TRADA case-study based publication – ‘Hybrid Structures’- explores examples of mixed material construction and the effectiveness of building with combined solutions. The publication looks at a number of case studies against specific headings which include: Enabling Dramatic Architecture; Meeting a Complex Brief and Towards Greater Sustainability – concluding with the opportunities and challenges for these types of structures and the need for further research.
