Fabienne Viala Is Appointed New Chairman Of Bougyes Construction In The United Kingdom

Bouygues Construction will propose the appointment of Fabienne Viala as Chairman of Bouygues UK and its British subsidiaries to the Board of Directors of Bouygues UK. With effect from summer 2016, Fabienne Viala will manage all of Bouygues Construction’s building activities in the United Kingdom (namely Bouygues UK, Leadbitter, Denne, Thomas Vale and Bouygues Development).

Fabienne Viala will also operate as UK Country Director, in which capacity her role will be to strengthen cooperation between Bouygues Construction’s businesses: Bouygues UK, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Bouygues Energies & Services.

When she takes on these functions, Fabienne Viala will become a member of the Bouygues Construction Management Committee.
Thanks to her experience of British culture, her knowledge of the Group, her considerable experience of site work and Facilities Management and her proficiency on managing complex projects, she will be able to rapidly define action plans and strategies, working alongside UK management teams, to strengthen the company’s activity in the United Kingdom and ensure sustainable profitability.

After graduating from the ESTP engineering school , Fabienne Viala joined the Bouygues Construction Group in 1987. She gained experience in all aspects of site work in the Paris region before becoming head of production in 2001. She was then named D eputy CEO of the management committee of Bouygues Entreprises France – Europe, where she supervised complex project s (D esign – Build , PPP, concessions) and was responsible for the delivery of 14 prisons, from the commercial phase to th e first years of operations. She transferred to Bouygues Energies & Services in 2012, where she headed the Facilities Management unit in Franc e and Italy, and she was appointed CEO for the Western regions of Bouygues Energies & Services in 2015.
