Network Rail On Right Track With TERRAM

Written by Amy

TERRAM, market leader in the design and manufacture of innovative geosynthetics including geocomposites, geotextiles and geocells for the construction industry, is experiencing a growing demand for several of its market leading products from Network Rail.

Demand for Hydrotex, PW1 and PW9 geosynthetic products have been particularly high, as Network Rail continues to deliver over 280 km of ‘Plain Line’ track renewals each year across eight separate routes. The work covers the whole of England, Scotland and Wales, at a cost of an estimated £255 million per annum.

Easy to use, Hydrotex, PW1 and PW9 have reduced time spent carrying out the works due to enhanced efficiencies with excavation, including the replacement of the traditional sand blanket.

Ben Brown, Application and Sales Engineer for EMEA at TERRAM, said: “At TERRAM, we pride ourselves on driving innovation, creating products that not only deliver extra stability and better site drainage, but can also extend the life of assets. This results in less maintenance work being required in the long term, as well as added value in cost benefits. Due to the high quality of our products and level of our service, we are ideally positioned to serve our rail customers to ensure that they meet the demands of the industry.

“We have received very positive feedback from Network Rail and our team continues to deliver and meet requirements. We are looking forward to working with Network Rail during the coming months and years, and look forward to developing our relationship with them further.”
