Leading national engineering consultancy Morgan Tucker has more than doubled the size of its Leeds office in just 12 months, with the appointment of five engineers and a regional administrator.

Based on Park Square West in the city centre, the firm has welcomed principal structural engineer James Boswell, structural design engineer Ben Jagger, civil engineer William Livermore, technician Callum Fogarty, senior computer aided design technician Chris Ainsley and principal infrastructure engineer Liam Evans, as a result of numerous new business wins over the past year.

Lynda Baird has also joined the team as regional administrator, increasing staff numbers in the Leeds office to ten.

The new recruits will allow Morgan Tucker to further refine and develop its specialisms by assisting on projects across the north of the country in the rail, commercial, industrial, energy, food manufacturing, university and residential sectors.

32-year-old Liam Evans, who has more than ten years’ experience in civil engineering, joined the team at Morgan Tucker in January after hearing about its proven track record and established reputation across the industry in both Yorkshire and the rest of the UK.

He said: Morgan Tucker appealed to me instantly as a well-established firm which places great value in its employees by appreciating the link between developing staff and developing as a business.

“Since joining the firm, I have had the opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of development infrastructure projects including large scale residential developments and rail related projects. I have been immersed in work not only at a technical level, but at a managerial and business level, which has so far provided a challenging and exciting introduction to the company.

“The respect and trust Morgan Tucker places in its employees and the ambition of the firm is fantastic and I look forward to contributing towards its continued growth, development and success across the region.”

The Leeds office supports the firm on traffic and transportation, civil engineering and mechanical and electrical divisions throughout the UK. Its recent stand-out projects have included providing infrastructure planning and design for soft drink manufacturer Britvic in Leeds, Rugby and Beckton and implementing a design service for a new 1,250 sq ft Greggs store at Keighley Retail Park.

Regional director at Morgan Tucker, Michael Crown added: “We’re delighted to have welcomed such a strong selection of team members in the past 12 months as a result of new business wins and continued support from existing customers.

“As a result, we needed to expand significantly. By recruiting six of the best engineering professionals in the region, we can remain an agile, client-focussed business, providing a high quality level of service.

“We will also continue to build upon our recent successes in the Leeds office by supporting our clients’ increasing requirements as well as nurturing and developing our ambitious and successful Leeds team throughout 2016.”
