Located at Westwood Cross shopping centre, a brand new Outfit store has been introduced, comprising a selection of Retail Company Arcadia’s famous clothing brands. An existing store was transformed into the ideal spot for Outfit to showcase concessions for both men and women’s clothing and accessories.

Outfit combines lines from Burton, Dorothy Perkins, Evans, Miss Selfridge, Topman, Topshop and Wallis all under one roof. Modern and stylish, the brand new store features a mezzanine area and staircases to a first floor, meaning plenty of space for customers to shop to their hearts desire.

Leading residential, retail and commercial contractor Stoneforce was in charge of the transformation at Outfit, utilising their skills and resources to enable a fast track fit out. Established in 1995, the company operates in the UK and overseas in a broad range of commercial and private environments.

Premier Retail caught up with John Bonus, Project Manager at Stoneforce, to discuss the developments at Westwood Cross. John said:

“The site comprised an existing store; after the demolition was carried out we converted two units into one large unit and then introduced a mezzanine floor.

“This is our second Outfit store now and it is clear that they’re going for a new design. A range of brands and concessions sit around the perimeter, as well as the centre of the store, with ladieswear downstairs providing a selection of popular Arcadia clothing brands such as Miss Selfridge and Dorothy Perkins, amongst others. Moving upstairs, the menswear combines Topman and Burtons.”

Despite all concessions coming under the Arcadia umbrella, each concession has been designed individually by the brand, meaning that there is a degree of diversity to each one.

“We started onsite in November and the project was completed by early February 2016. The client then spent a week merchandising before the grand opening took place.

“The feedback has been fantastic, which is great for us! The store itself is doing very well so far which is great news.

“Managing the lead times and keeping all of the brands happy was probably our biggest challenge – that was quite intense at times. The shopping centre was very accommodating which was very helpful to us. An entire new shopfront went in which meant fitting full height glazing, two sets of auto doors and much more.

“Working on this project has been great; I believe in carrying out a job well and at the end of it you gain a sense of achievement when receiving the feedback. It is important to us to keep the brand happy, we do a lot of work with Arcadia and it is important for us to maintain those high standards and that is what we have done. We are tendering for more Outfit jobs, as it is a brand that is heading in the right direction.”
