A Successful Launch for North England Build
Last month the saw doors open at Manchester Central for the inaugural North England Build Expo. As with the “four seasons in a day” weather, the show delivered something for everyone. Both days saw a 100+ booth exhibition, a high-level conference, CPD accredited training workshops, live demonstrations, VIP networking sessions, the Skills Hub careers zone, entertainment and many fantastic prize give-aways.
The conference and workshops offered a range of high calibre speakers, with representatives from organisations such as the Cabinet Office, ARUP, CIOB, Confederation of Co-operative Housing, Design Council Cabe, NFB, HBA, Homes and Communities Agency, Skanska, MACE, Futureworks (Yorkshire) and many more key industry professionals.
Mark Scott, Futureworks (Yorkshire), said: “As a small business focusing on encouraging young people into the construction industry, what a fantastic opportunity being involved in the North England Build Expo has been. More companies need to support next year’s event. For the industry to grow, let’s focus on young people being the heart of your future!”
The expo also featured four exclusive Meet the Buyer sessions for our exhibitors and VIP guests. Sessions included: Meet the Architects, Contractors and Engineers, Developers and Home Builders.
The North England Build Expo received outstanding support from the industry, with over 40 official event and media partners, including lead supporters, the CIOB and Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, and many more brilliant supporters.
Rico Wojtulewicz, House Builders Association, said: “An interesting and open event that brings together the industry to challenge stereotypes and find solutions.”
