ASK Italian – A fresh approach

ASK Italian

Having just reopened the doors to its Gloucester Arcade restaurant, ASK Italian has been transformed presenting a fabulous design. The restaurant reflects the brand’s distinctive new look with a clever combination of classic Italian materials, and colours and textures of the Mediterranean, forming a marriage with warm natural furniture, eye-catching tiling and trailing plants to convey an authentic al fresco setting.

Perfect for a bite to eat over a social catch up with friends, or a relaxed dinner with a bottle of Italian wine or two amongst family, ASK Italian offers a stylish and elegant environment to enjoy quality Italian cuisine and beverages. Customers can expect all of the original ASK Italian favourites on the menu, in addition to a few new surprises.

The finest Italian-sourced ingredients are incorporated into classic Italian dishes, such as buffalo mozzarella from Campania, extra virgin olive oil made especially for ASK Italian from family olive groves in Puglia, and passata di Pomodoro from Emilia Romagna. In true Italian style, antipasti boards are shared amongst diners and delivered in an elevated way to impress and add a playful touch to the table.

Customers can choose from staple pasta, risotto and pizzas alongside meat and fish mains inspired by regional specialities. Delicious mains include fettuccine Bolognese, duck leg valpolicella, sea bass al forno, and pollo prosciutto served with potatoes, broccoli and a chicken broth. Mouth-watering stone baked pizzas include the new pulled pork pizza, siciliana pizza (vegetarian) and a range of calzones including the new, calzone Quattro salami.

An innovative concept has now been introduced with ASK Italian, as selected pizza and pasta options are now available in half portions, to allow diners to sample more from the menu.

The drinks list has also been revamped, and now features homemade Sicilian lemonade, available as traditional lemon or raspberry, as well as a list of creative, Italian-inspired cocktails. The restaurant is open from 11am until late, offering a quintessentially Italian experience. As with any Italian home, the kitchen at ASK Italian is the heart and soul of the place – with the open kitchen offering a show stopping sense of theatre to diners.

ASK Italian’s Managing Director, Harry Heeley, commented:

“We’re delighted to have given our Gloucester Arcade restaurant such a beautiful makeover and hope that our customers here are as excited about the new look and menu as we are.”

One of UK’s leading casual dining restaurant brands, ASK Italian boasts over 110 restaurants throughout the country, driven by a passion for seeking out the finest of Italian food and culture. ASK Italian has collaborated with renowned chef Theo Randall, award-winning Italian food writer Carla Capalbo and Master of Wine Adrian Garforth, to discover the best of Italian life, reflected in the menus and 100% Italian wine list.

Impressively, ASK Italian was named ‘Best Italian Restaurant’ in the 2015 Pizza and Pasta Association Awards.
