The Rebel™ Leading Edge Self-Retracting Lifeline (SRL) by Capital Safety, a 3M Company, is specifically designed for leading edge applications: connection at foot level over an edge, in 6m and 12m lengths, eliminating the need for an extension edge sling.

The Rebel™ LE SRL is ideal for construction and general maintenance applications and features an oversized galvanised steel wire rope covered by rubber for added security over the edge, minimising the risk of frayed or severed lines. It also includes a second fully integrated external textile energy absorber, reducing the forces imposed on the user.

The unit is in-cased in a thermoplastic housing, which is lightweight, compact and durable. Meanwhile, the optional use of the SRL covers protect labels from everyday wear and tear so that they remain easy to read. With a carabiner included, ready for connection to an anchor point, the product also features an ergonomic built-in carrying handle which adds comfort and ease-of-use.

The range is built to last providing an economical fall protection solution without compromising performance or safety, supported by its CE VG11.60 safety standard certification for leading edge application. These products are put through extensive sharp edge testing to ensure protection against sharp, abrasive and leading edges found at many job sites.

Furthermore, with a maximum capacity of 140g, it is the ideal choice to accommodate the safety requirements of users of all sizes and weights.

Eric Dupont, Group Marketing Manager at Capital Safety commented: “As a leader in fall protection we are continually striving to make improvements to our products, listening to needs of our end user and keeping an eye on changes in the market. We are committed to ensure every worker at height returns home safely, this a commitment we take extremely seriously and do everything in our power to develop products that are safer and more-user friendly than ever before.”
