Hoburne Holiday Parks enhanced by multi-million investment

Hoburne

Hoburne – one of the UK’s longest-established holiday groups – has invested more than £2 million into its holiday parks based across Dorset and Hampshire.

The investment is part of a programme of company-wide developments worth a total of £6 million, in which all of Hoburne’s seven holiday parks across the south-west of England are set to be enhanced.

The developments will ensure an improved customer experience for all visitors from March; when the parks opened for the 2016 holiday season.

As a result of a £1 million spend at the Dorset-based Hoburne Nash, Hampshire-based Hoburne Bashley and Cotswold holiday parks, customers will gain new and improved family entertainment and dining areas.

The main contractors on the Bashley and Nash redevelopments were HB 2000 with WCR working on the Cotswold development. VK Colourworks were responsible for the interior design aspects of all three parks.

Vicky Wilkins from VK Interiors commented: “Hoburne have gutted all three parks and essentially started again. They wanted our design concept to be integrated into all parks so we have worked with the architects and contractors throughout the projects to achieve this.”

The parks will now benefit from:

  • £1 million spent on creating a new look entertainment and leisure complex complete with new interior décor and contemporary furniture and fittings.
  • New family-friendly dining venues including Café H and a restaurant offering full table service and both classic and modern food options at great prices.
  • New and improved communal areas, providing welcoming and contemporary spaces to relax with the family.
  • Free Wi-Fi will also be available throughout and at all of the company’s seven parks.

Vicky added: “Now it is a lot more spacious and we have tried to design the areas to give staff more visibility of customers. From the reception area the receptionists can see Café H and can see through to different areas so they can make sure they point people in the right direction.

“Colour wise, we used blues, greens and creams to create a calming tone but the whole design is updated and hardwearing and is a total contrast to what it was.”

The investment programme also includes accommodation options being enhanced at Hoburne Park in Dorset and Hoburne in Hampshire:

  • In 2016 Hoburne Park will have 24 brand new holiday caravans, with the majority being top-of-the-range ‘Platinum Plus’ and ‘Platinum’ caravans, which will add to the premium feel of the park.
  • Hoburne Bashley will have a brand new pitch development offering lodge accommodation for the first time. Also, more ‘Platinum’ and ‘Platinum Plus’ caravans and other grades of accommodation available.

Managing Director of Hoburne, Rod Tucker, commented: “At our Dorset, Hampshire and Cotswold parks in 2016 our customers will get the same Hoburne experience that they know and love, yet we are literally transforming some of the parks communal areas, accommodation offer and facilities to create an even better environment for a perfect family holiday.

“This huge investment is testament to our commitment to setting new standards across the industry and to our goal of exceeding our customer’s expectations.

“We have engaged professional interior designers to crate stylish interior schemes incorporating relaxing colours and natural materials, as well as comfortable seating options and attractive design-led communal spaces which we are confident that our customers will love.”

Hoburne, which was established in Dorset in 1912, has a policy of continual reinvestment and improvement. The company’s philosophy is focussed on providing traditional family holidays with the highest standards in facilities, accommodation and service, at value for money prices.

Vicky concluded: “This is a flagship for our work at the moment so we are encouraging prospective clients to take a look at the work we have done at. We are a small company but we have the experience, skills and qualifications to take on larger jobs, and this is demonstrated on these projects.”

H&B 2000 Limited

H&B 2000 Limited have been in operation for 16 years and specialise in carrying out fast track projects for holiday parks and the leisure industry. In addition, recent contracts successfully completed include cinema, dance studio and office fit-outs.

Acting as principal contractors on all of their jobs, H&B 2000 also do smaller jobs for a variety of clients during the summer months.

Clive Hayward, Managing Director at H&B 2000 Limited said: “We are close to every project that we undertake. We are not a big turnover company so we will only have a handful of jobs on at once so that means that personally, I or someone from the team can be on each job, each week, meeting the client and the architect ensuring that everything is going correctly and we are getting where we need to on that particular day.”

The company recently completed work at Hoburne Holiday Parks in Bashley and Naish. Work at Bashley included building a small extension as well as upgrading the interior space and work at Naish included the refurbishment of the indoor space and saw the company move walls, erect new walls, install new flooring, decorating and bringing the space up to date.

Clive added: “Because of the marketplace that we work in, the consultants on the projects will usually recommend companies that they know so on these particular projects the architects introduced us to Hoburne and the relationship went from there. It is nice to build on our reputation by building on these relationships and recommendations from other people.”

As well as working closely with Hoburne Holidays, H&B 2000 have carried out numerous projects for Haven Holidays and more recently Darwin and Park Resorts. Work for those companies has involved projects such as building indoor swimming pools, outdoor swimming pools, amusement arcades and reception buildings.
