The North East’s leading wastewater treatment specialist – Premier Tech Aqua (PTA) – has announced the appointment of a new Financial Controller, Leigh Dobson, following a series of new contract wins and an increase in sales by 12%.
Based in Peterlee, the company has seen its profits rise in the last 4 months as the business continues on track in achieving its strategic objectives of moving into new and former global markets.
Headed by MD, Steve Joyce, who joined PTA only 5 months ago and has already taken the company to new heights, the team has recently expanded with the appointment of three regional Sales Managers and an Engineering Sales Manager all of whom have played a pivotal role in driving sales throughout the UK.
In line with its growth plans for global expansion, the company has also recently announced the appointment of an Export Sales Manager to drive global sales and create pathways into new markets. PTA will initially focus on delivering its leading wastewater and water treatment solutions to Cyprus, Nigeria and continental Europe, with plans to eventually progress into other geographical markets.
Bringing over 25 years accounting experience, Leigh – who has previously worked for the likes of Armstrong Building Products and 2 Sisters Food Group- will be responsible for assisting PTA in making smart financial decisions as the company progresses with its ambitious global plans.

Formerly known as Conder Aqua Solutions, three years ago the company partnered with Canada based wastewater treatment giant Premier Tech Aqua. In 2014 it expanded its extensive product range through joining forces with Rewatec, one of Europe’s prominent rainwater harvesting manufacturers and distributors.
