Welcome to Premier Hospitality: European Hotel Design Awards.
In this special edition of Premier Hospitality we are taking a look at the European Hotel Design Awards 2016; highlighting some of the fantastic projects which have been shortlisted at this year’s awards. Projects include the Royal York Hotel, The Lanesborough and Radisson Red, amongst others.
The historic Royal York Hotel – soon to be renamed The Principal York – has recently undergone a major renovation to restore its original grandeur and create new, show-stopping interiors to appeal to the thoroughly modern traveller. The work has now been rewarded with two nominations at the European Hotel Design Awards in both the ‘Renovation & Restoration’ and the ‘Lobby, Lounge and Public Areas’ categories.
Meanwhile, The Lanesborough London’s extensive renovation, which transformed the luxury hotel’s bedroom suites and public areas, has been shortlisted in three categories in the European Hotel Design Awards 2016. Located on the borders of Knightsbridge and Belgravia, with panoramic views of Hyde Park, the venue offers guests 93 bedrooms, 43 of which are suites with the largest being The Royal Suite. The renovation extended to all public areas of the hotel including the restaurant, The Library Bar, seven private dining rooms and back-of-house areas.
And finally, The Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has added another brand of hotels to their ever growing portfolio – Radisson RED. The concept behind Radisson RED is the ageless millennial mindset which is presented via the art, music and fashion used throughout the design of the new hotels. The design of the Radisson RED has already attracted positive attention and has seen the hotel shortlisted at the European Hotel Design Awards 2016. The hotel appears within the categories for ‘Best Renovation & Restoration’ and ‘Best Lobby, Lounge and & Public Areas’.
With all these projects and more, it’s time to sit back and tuck into a special helping of Premier Hospitality: European Hotel Design Awards.
