This Month in Premier Construction 23.8

Welcome to the latest edition of Premier Construction magazine.

In this month’s edition, we take a look at a collection of fantastic housing developments which have been awarded the prestigious NHBC Seal of Excellence; we unveil BXR; and we highlight the continued work on Queensferry Crossing.

Split into regions, NHBC Seal of Excellence Awards are awarded to top Site Managers throughout the country who continue to demonstrate excellence in house building. The awards are a sign of the hard work that is taking place on developments throughout the UK and in this month’s issue we take a look at four NHBC Seal of Excellence Award-winning projects: City Island, Dollar Bay, Bridgeview and Smithstone.

Meanwhile, BXR is a state-of-the-art, members-only fitness facility, offering the highest level of professional boxing training in London. Situated on Chiltern Street in the heart of Marylebone, the site has a 6-metre-high triple glass frontage, spans 12,000 sq ft across the ground and lower ground floors and serves up an unrivalled collection of high-tech and high-end gym equipment. At the heart of BXR is a full-size boxing ring by Ringcraft, which adds to the rawness and authenticity of this training venue. To highlight the passion and pride of the space, BXR is decked out in inspiring iconography, including images of the world’s greatest boxers.

And finally, scheduled to arrive in June 2017, The Queensferry Crossing is a fantastic and hugely significant infrastructure project, currently taking shape in Scotland. The globally unique bridge, regarded as the centrepiece of a major upgrade to the important cross-Fourth transport corridor in the east of Scotland, represents a total Scottish investment of between £1.325 and £1.35 billion. Designed to co-exist with the Forth Road Bridge as the main crossing point for cross-Forth traffic, The Queensferry Crossing is being constructed alongside the existing Forth Road bridge and once complete will carry the M90 motorway across the Firth of Forth, between Lothian and Fife.

With all this and more, join us as we explore the impressive construction projects that continue to shape our landscape.
