Welcome to the latest edition of Premier Construction magazine.
In this month’s edition, we take a look at Cardan Pointe; we unveil Grill at McQueen; and we highlight three events in our Events Focus pages.
Announced as the West Midlands Development of the Year at the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Awards, Cardan Pointe is a £5.5 million wellbeing scheme on the newly regenerated Waterfront in Walsall. A stunning canalside location that boasts 44 quality affordable one and two bedroom apartments for those aged 55 and over, the development is aimed at those who want to stay independent but may need some additional assistance, either now or in the future. Cardan Pointe offers a mix of health, social and leisure activities, whilst the wellbeing service provides varying levels and types of support such as help to get out and about, advice on bills as well as access and signposting to other services.
Meanwhile, inspired by the ‘King of Cool’ Steve McQueen, The Grill at McQueen is a sophisticated new restaurant located in Tabernacle Street in the heart of Shoreditch. Adjacent to an award-winning lounge bar and atmospheric nightclub, this stylish restaurant boasts a menu created by former Hawksmoor Head Chef, Richard Sandiford, with Richard James (also ex Hawksmoor) heading up the kitchen. The sleek interior design has been created by McQueen owner and designer Dezzi McCausland, who takes the McQueen image to a whole new level, combining McQueen’s iconic ‘cool’ style with Hollywood glamour and a 1960s/70s vintage feel.
And finally, in this month’s issue we present our Events Focus pages, which take a look at two forthcoming events, Eco Build and Traffex 2017, as well as the recent BIM Live 2017. BIM Live 2017 took place this month and re-visited the initial objective of the show – an event focused on technology.
