M18

Situated on Church Road in Stanmore, M18 is a stunning new restaurant offering beautifully prepared dishes in exquisite surroundings. Spread across a single floor, the restaurant serves up a fine selection of Indo-Chinese inspired cuisine and can comfortably accommodate up to 85 guests.

Since opening its doors on the 12th December 2016, M18 has received extremely positive feedback, as well as a packed guest list. In fact, the restaurant has been so successful that guests looking to make a weekend reservation are advised to get in quick.

Speaking to Premier Hospitality, M18 Manager, Nathalie Ahmet, said:

“We have received some excellent comments regarding our décor, as well as our ambience and we’ve been highly praised for our authentic food and beautiful presentation.

“The restaurant has been fully booked most nights and we currently have a three-week waiting list for weekend bookings. It has been extremely positive so far.”

The interior of M18 is the brainchild of company director, Minesh Patel. The design brings the opulence of Mayfair to Stanmore and boasts the finest Italian leather tables, which are handmade especially for M18, as well as two beautiful glass wine walls that are manufactured by wine furniture specialist Cellar Maison.

Minesh Patel said:

“The two wine walls were made specifically for us – we have one chilled white wine wall and one red wine wall. Between the two walls we have space for vintage wines and our house wine.”

Minesh added:

“When it comes to M18, we spared no expense on the interior of our restaurant. We chose the finest materials for our interior and the best, specialist wines to pair with our food.”

In addition, to a strong collection of wines, M18 stocks a selection of specialist gins, vodkas and whiskeys.

The menu at M18 includes a range of dishes, from Palak and Paneer Kofta Curry, to Karahi King Prawns. A collection of starters and accompaniments is also available, along with a far too tempting array of desserts.

Minesh, said:

“This is our first venture into restaurants and we shall continue onwards as our flagship M18 has been more successful than we ever could have imagined. We have such a wonderful following and we are enjoying the experience and success greatly.

“Our main aim was to offer something a little more exciting in Stanmore and to have achieved this is fantastic feeling.”

A mesmerising lighting concept

Chantelle Lighting is shaping the hospitality industry in terms of creating and manufacturing stunning lighting products.

The company was born some two and a half decades ago, as Anthony Holly, managing director, focused on a vision to offer a personal service from inception, through to implementation and completion.

Chantelle Lighting is approached regularly with requests for the relatively straightforward, to the weird and wonderful and every project undertaken is done so with commitment, creativity and a desire to produce the very best product for every customer.

A recent project at Asian restaurant M18 in Stanmore, London was the perfect opportunity for Chantelle to provide a number of gorgeous fittings, following a refurbishment of the restaurant. The team worked closely with the owner to come up with a high end, elegant lighting concept, which was also on budget.

Copper is a fantastic material for warmth, so this was incorporated into the lighting solution; the stunning Ombre range fitted this brief perfectly, and 40 of the fitting named ‘Flow’ were hung in a mesmerising cluster above a private booth area, adding to the mood and atmosphere.

Personalised LED copper pendants with the word M18 cut out were manufactured by Chantelle and these were placed over the dining area tables, mirroring the M18 logo on the outside of the building. Six LED colour changing rings are visible across the restaurant and look striking and effective against interiors such as the deep button seating and fabric panelled ceiling. Adding to the copper theme, ten retro up/down wall lights were sprayed in Chantelle’s copper finish to complete the brand-new look of the venue.

A truly beautiful refurbishment of the venue, made even more visually striking with smart, prominent lighting products by Chantelle Lighting.
