This Month in Premier Retail 1-9

Welcome to Premier Retail – the premier construction tool for the retail industry.

In this month’s issue we preview the Retail Design Expo 2017; we spotlight je+1; and we highlight the arrival of Sorbet.

Now in its third year, Retail Design Expo is a specialist retail design and branding event, which brings together the very finest exponents of retail design, visual merchandising, branding and in-store experience. The expo is a clear reflection of how the retail sector is responding to the increasingly discerning consumer and showcases solutions from designers, architects, shopfitters, specialist contractors and more. This year’s event takes place at the London Olympia on 8-9 May 2017 and in this issue we feature some of the exhibitors who will be appearing at the Expo.

Based in Birmingham, je+1 – the sister practice of John Evans Interior Architecture & Design – is a leading design practice, specialising in the creation, design and interior architecture of exquisite environments for the retail and corporate marketplace. The practice has been in operation for four years and within this time has delivered an array of exciting projects within the retail sector, from Topps Tiles Boutique to Dwell, Bensons for Beds and beyond. Keen to find out a little more about je+1, Premier Retail recently caught up with Managing Director, John Evans to get an insight into the practice.

Just in time for Spring, South Africa’s best loved beauty franchise, Sorbet Salons, has opened the doors of its fourth UK salon on the bustling high street of North London’s Mill Hill, bringing with it brows on fleek, nails on trend, and all those beauty needs covered to help its guests shine through Spring, Summer and beyond. One of South Africa’s fastest growing beauty brands, Sorbet boasts a network of more than 170 beauty salons including its three London salons in East Finchley, Muswell Hill and Crouch End offering a complete range of professional face, body, hand and nail treatments.

With all this and much more inside, please join us as we explore the projects which continue to shape the retail sector.
