GRAHAM Construction has been awarded its second project with Glenbrook Property to build a 270 apartment 16-storey residential scheme at the Erie Basin site in Salford Quays.
The Build-to-Rent (BTR) scheme will feature two linked multi-storey apartment blocks, gardens, car parking and ground floor amenity space.
The prominent dockside development is GRAHAM Construction’s second project with Glenbrook, with work already progressing well on a £40m BTR project for the property developer in Ellesmere Street, Castlefield.
The site is the only remaining land to be developed at Erie Basin, and the building – designed by Sheppard Robson Architects – will complete the Basin’s fabric and skyline.
Situated in the heart of Salford Quays and adjacent to MediaCityUK, the development is perfectly placed for the rental market.

“Despite some demanding ground conditions, we have been able to help Glenbrook to realise the Erie Basin project through an innovative foundation and concrete frame solution.
“The development is another step to meeting demand for quality living spaces in the Salford Quays area, creating communities and further benefitting the region’s economy.
“This is our third Build-to-Rent scheme in the Greater Manchester area and we see residential continuing as a key sector for GRAHAM Construction, building on our portfolio of experience with large scale apartment, student accommodation and hotel projects across the UK.
“We look forward to moving onto the Erie Basin site in May of this year, and expect the project to be complete in summer 2019.”
During the build, GRAHAM will be engaging with an expert supply chain, drawn from across the region, as well as implementing a range of community benefit and CSR programmes.
