Bringing a new level of luxury to Lech am Arlberg in Austria, Severin*s – The Alpine Retreat, has launched in spectacular style.

This extraordinary luxury chalet hotel offers nine sumptuous suites, a fine dining restaurant and Alpine inspired bar, wine cellar, swimming pool, spa, gallery of contemporary art works and state of the art gym, as well as a four-bedroom private residence with a home cinema, office and hot-tub.

Clad in reclaimed Tyrollean wood with a stone facade and featuring an eye-catching copper roof, the new venue blends effortlessly into Lech’s beautiful landscape, with special care placed on the use of traditional building materials.

Inside, exceptional interiors await where Alpine charm has been combined with contemporary touches to provide every modern comfort in stylish surroundings. Guests can expect furnishings by Italian studio Minotti, cosy fireplaces at every turn, walls adorned with modern works of art curated by Vienna’s contemporary art advisors and state of the art technology.

Severin*s nine stylish suites are beautifully furnished with a contemporary yet comfortable Alpine style.

Each spacious suite provides an area of 47 to 67 square metres with separate sleeping and lounge spaces, as well as private terraces with marvellous views over the mountains.

Three of the nine suites can be converted into family accommodation with sleeping space for children. Furnishings are by Italian brand Minotti and each suite features state of the art Revox sound-systems and iPad wall activations.

Those looking for added space and privacy those can enjoy the delights of the four-bedroom private residence.

Offering a luxurious master bedroom with freestanding bath, the private residence includes a further three bedrooms, modern kitchen, dining and living room, as well as a home cinema, bar, office and outdoor whirl pool.

For fine wine and dining, guests need look no further than the restaurant, bar and wine cellar at Severin*s. Executive Chef Stephan Kriegelstein’s menu focuses on using seasonal produce to create innovative modern dishes with regional influences.

Stephan spent the past 10 years cooking for some of the best award-winning restaurants in Europe, sharing kitchens with Michelin-starred chefs and developing a unique culinary style, using seasonal produce to create contemporary yet unpretentious dishes.

On the cuisine offered at Severin*s, Stephan commented:

“It is our aim to re-explore regional and traditional specialties, which have to be cultivated and developed. Our guests should receive a sophisticated insight into the traditions of the Arlberg region, combined with the harmony of nature and the variety of food we have here. At Severin*s, modern cooking techniques will meet flavours from all over the world. We use the very best produce from regional businesses and farmers, creating classic dishes with a unique twist.”

The hotel’s Alpine inspired bar offers the perfect spot for a more sophisticated take on après ski, whilst guests can also taste perfectly paired wines over dinner from the hotel’s wine cellar.

To relax and unwind following an adventurous day up the mountains or on the slopes, guests can enjoy the hotel’s spectacular indoor swimming pool with a current system and waterfall, sauna and steam rooms, spa treatment and beauty suite and cutting edge Technogym.

Severin*s – The Alpine Retreat general manager Christoph Dittmer has a wealth of experience in the hospitality sector, including playing a key role in the launch of Severin*s first luxury hotel in 2014 on the island of Sylt.

Christoph was also involved in the opening of the new lodge Severin*s Morsum Kliff, which opened in 2016. In November 2016, he took over the opening of Severin*s*S – The Alpine Retreat.
