Market-leading specialist, Portview Fit-Out Ltd, has donated ten top-of-the-range GoPro cameras worth £2,200 to Make-A-Wish Foundation to help capture the memories of seriously ill children.

The donation, which also includes an Apeman Underwater Action Camera, 11 storage bags, 12 memory cards, eight accessory packs, a chest mount harness and tripod, will be distributed to families throughout the UK to help document their loved one’s action-filled adventures.  From trips to Disneyland Paris to swimming with dolphins in Portugal, each child will have the opportunity to relive their special day on the small screen.

Portview, a luxury fit-out specialist that works with some of the world’s leading brands, has pledged to support Make-A-Wish in the next 12 months by raising funds to help grant the wishes of children who are living with a life-threatening condition. In the last three months alone, the company has raised £3,500 for Make-A-Wish – in addition to the generous GoPro donation.

Managing Director of Portview Fit-Out, Simon Campbell said:

“It’s great to know that these GoPro cameras will be used as an endless source of fun and entertainment for children who demonstrate incredible bravery day-to-day.

“Our goal is to utilise our resources, contacts and workforce to raise as much funds as possible to really make a difference.  Whether it’s to design and fit-out a sensory room for a child, or give a family VIP tickets to a premier league match, we are determined to make it happen.

“We are humbled and amazed by the extraordinary efforts Make-A-Wish go through to enrich childrens’ lives.  It has inspired us to give something back that will not only help to cherish their memories forever, but also help to drive awareness of the incredible work Make-A-Wish do, and that in itself is priceless.”

Make-a-Wish grant the wishes of seriously ill children and young people by creating memories that build confidence and happiness, as well as provide respite from the daily struggles of living with a life-threatening condition.

Northern Ireland Fundraising Manager of Make-A-Wish, Gail McKee said:

“Make-A-Wish here in Northern Ireland is delighted to be partnered with Portview and look forward to a fun-filled and successful fundraising year.  Their efforts to date and their generous donation of GoPro cameras will make an incredible addition to the wish experience of our children and families – creating memories that will last a lifetime. ‘
